Black Cats are mysterious animals that reside in Purgatory. They were first seen on November 6, 2023 (Day 3 of Purgatory and Day 229 of QSMP), with one of them appearing to Cellbit in the caves.

Physiology

It seems like these characters share a common visual theme, resembling their real-life animal counterparts as small, black cats with a custom model. However, one black cat stands out from the rest due to the distinctive feature of wearing a purple witch's hat.

Personality

The cats are quite friendly with the residents of Purgatory, assisting in killing mobs to protect them. However, after Tubbo insulted them and Bagi, one of them became extremely aggressive to the point of fatally attacking him. In addition to their protective abilities, these cats have an affinity for musical instruments, particularly maracas and flutes.

History

Purgatory Day 3

The first sighting of a Black Cat was on day 3 of Purgatory when one of the cats appeared to Cellbit in a cave. Cellbit became extremely confused and frightened by the incident. The cats appeared later to BBH and Tubbo at the blue base. However, the cats would make more appearances towards the end of the day when Bagi was alone, as the green team had logged out. They accompanied Bagi for the rest of the day, and she referred to them as her friends.

Anna

Anna was first seen on the 3rd day of Purgatory. This cat stands out for wearing a witch's hat. The name was given by Bagi, who was grateful for Anna's company after being left alone without her team. Anna accompanied Bagi, protecting her from mobs and hitting them with a pan. This cat also made a lasso and caught several pigs, later killing them all with a chainsaw. Anna has the habit of setting up a purple bed to sleep.

Gertrude	Named by Tubbo. Tubbo named this cat after Gertrude asked Tubbo how to pronounce their name. This cat is characterized by playing a flute. Gertrude accompanied Bagi during the day and later joined Tubbo and BBH on their boat trips.

Trivia

• The cats seem to understand Portuguese, but Bagi later discovered that it was because they were reading her chat bubbles.
