Boundaries consulted with Twitch Mods of the creators has been marked with "[ ! ]" above their boundaries.

What are boundaries?

Boundaries, also referred to as streamer's limits, represent the personal thresholds that certain content creators establish within their community. These limits are designed to ensure both the comfort of the content creator and the community as a whole. Some common examples of boundaries include:

- Streamer 1's request to avoid involving their character in romantic pairings.
- Streamer 2's preference to steer clear of NSFW fanart featuring their character.
- And so on.

Respecting these boundaries is of utmost importance. Disregarding them not only affects the community but also has a direct impact on the content creator. Your actions or words could potentially upset them. This page is dedicated to compiling the boundaries of every content creator in the QSMP community. If you believe that something needs to be added or corrected, we encourage you to leave your feedback in the comment section. This feedback will be reviewed and, if appropriate, incorporated into the page.

By adhering to these boundaries, we contribute to a more harmonious and respectful community environment. Let's ensure that every member of the QSMP community feels comfortable, valued, and understood.

General Boundaries

COMMON SENSE

Common sense is a fundamental boundary that applies to every content creator. This principle is simple: refrain from actions you wouldn't appreciate being done to you or anything that might make a content creator uncomfortable. Uncertain about a particular action? No worries! Just hold off on it and check with the lists of boundaries on this page, or simply ask others for guidance. My (Admin Neovres) DMs are always open, and I'm more than willing to assist and address any inquiries.

Remember, the more we respect the common sense boundary, the less content creators have to establish specific personal boundaries. Let's all be considerate; our goal is to have fun, not to test boundaries or make anyone feel cornered. By being mindful, we create a more comfortable environment for everyone.

Some content creators have more specific and not so obvious boundaries except common sense, so I recommend to get familiar with this page just in case. Accidents happen and this page was created to spread information in order to reduce frequency of the slip ups.

NO SHIPPING WITH MINORS

A guideline falling under the common sense boundary. Do not ship anyone with minors. There are no underage content creators on the QSMP server but it is a general rule worth mentioning.

DON'T HATE ON OR ATTACK THEIR FRIENDS

A guideline falling under the common sense boundary. While some content creators explicitly state it in their boundaries and others do not, it's important to address this obvious principle: refrain from making hurtful remarks in streamers' chats, on Twitter, or elsewhere — particularly when speaking on behalf of another content creator.

  1. Remember, they're all friends; there's no need to spread unnecessary among them. Don't take roleplay seriously, it's just them acting and having fun.
  2. Even in the event of a serious matter, avoid intervening or speaking for someone else. These are adults capable of resolving their own issues.

NO METAGAMING/CHATHOPPING/BACKSITTING

This principle revolves around avoiding metagaming and chathopping. Metagaming refers to using out-of-character (OOC) knowledge in-character (IC), which can disrupt the immersive experience for both content creators and viewers. Chathopping involves switching between different content creators' streams in order to gather information and "report it" to a streamer or influence events.

However, it's crucial not to take this rule to an extreme. While it's helpful to remind people of its existence, never resort to hostility toward those who may not fully comprehend or even be aware of the boundary. Let's share knowledge, not animosity, and keep in mind that at the end of the day it's just Minecraft roleplay.

Backsitting = telling the streamer what to do or how to do something. Do not do it unless they ask chat directly and explicitly.

Creator-Specific Boundaries

Antoine Daniel [note 1]
[-]
  • Common sense.
  • NO meta-gaming (unless specifically asked for)!! Antoine hates to be spoiled what’s happening on the QSMP. Refrain from talking about any event his character is not supposed to be aware of.
  • His channel is technically flagged as an 18+ one and he makes occasional sexual jokes. However this is not an invitation to sexualize him or say NSFW things in chat.
Aypierre
[-]
  • Common sense.
  • BadBoyHalo [note 2]
    [-]
    • Common sense.

    • Keep any negative comments about his appearance to yourself.
    • Don't invade his personal life, if you see him IRL don't stalk him, just ask for a photo. However, he is not comfortable with hugging people he's not close with so don't ask him for that!
    • He likes and encourages fanart but is not comfortable with 18+ stuff. Keep you art involving him SFW! Same rules apply to cosplay.
      • However, he doesn't mind mild-slight gore. He draws lines at very explicit gore (e.g. eating someone liver) as seen here.
    • He doesn't mind people creating and selling products featuring things related to him/his character as long as the artwork is original and not marketed as official merchandise.
    • He's ok with being shipped as long as it's not with someone who has boundaries against shipping (Either with him or with shipping in general, reminder is they are real people). Please, avoid excessive mentions of ships in donations or other direct interactions with him though.
    • Don't compare his relationships to his friendship with Skeppy, f.ex. asking "Who do you prefer, Skeppy or XYZ?", he doesn't like it.
    • Keep donations or comments in general SFW.
