Day 1

On March 22, 2023, the QSMP officially opened, starting with 16 players. Following introductions, the Official Trailer played, with the announcer informing the passengers of their destination: Quesadilla Island. The passengers had been split into two separate trains on parallel tracks, with English and Hispanic members were mixed together. Both groups took time getting to know each other a little more, before another video played. As both trains arrived to their own station, a massive wall rose between the two buildings.

The group on the west side consisted of BadBoyHalo, DanTDM, ElMariana, Foolish, Jaiden, Luzu, Missa, and Quackity.

The group on the east side consisted of Fit, Maximus, Philza, Roier, Slimecicle, Spreen, Vegetta, and Wilbur.

There was no power on the island, leaving everyone in the darkness of night. While leaving the trains and exploring the The Train Station, Quackity revealed that there was a "bad guy" who had separated them.

Both groups found a book informing them of a puzzle they had to solve in five minutes. Despite their best attempts, both groups failed. A video of the Duckling played, telling them that it was sad that they had failed the first task. Following that, it asked them to restore the power to the island. The video was then interrupted and the two teams were each given a set of coordinates 2936, 1998, and 3140, 1998. They had to collect planks to be used on a water wheel. While searching, the groups could hear each other on the opposite side of the wall. They repaired the wheel, then connected the wires to the wall.

Once the power was restored, the Duckling appeared in another video and congratulated them. It draws attention to the wall separating the island, and informed them about the one rule of the island. The background changed to red static and the music became somber. "NEVER. NEVER CROSS THAT WALL. IT WAS BUILT TO KEEP YOU SAFE." The screen briefly switched back to normal, as they were told about a big red button. The screen then switched back, with the Duckling saying, "DON'T PRESS IT. EVER." The video cut back to normal, with the Duckling thanking them for their cooperation. The video cut to static that said "END TAPE".

When both groups noticed the big, red button high up on the wall, most of them ran towards it to press it. JaidenAnimations and Vegetta, on different sides of the wall, built up to reach the button. Vegetta reached it first then pressed it, resulting in beeping sounds. After 10 seconds, a section of the wall blew up.

The explosion destroyed Jaiden's blocks, causing her to fall. She was kicked from the server for 'flying', then rejoined. When Jaiden reconnected, she found out that there was a Revive Mechanic implemented into the server. This allowed players to be "knocked down" for 60 seconds after losing all of their hearts and "picked up" by other players. There was also an option to "give up" by holding left-click for six seconds. Jaiden crawled to other members, begging to be picked up, but everyone was stuck viewing a video. Jaiden used the "give up" option, making her the first player casualty.

The Duckling appeared again, with the background once again covered in red lighting. Since they broke the rule, it informed them the bad news. The screen cuts to black, with red text saying, "YOU CAN NEVER LEAVE." Afterwards, the video switched back to it normal and the Duckling told the Players to "get comfy", find places to build their "permanent homes", and "Enjoy Quesadilla Island." When the video ended, the players ran towards the opening of the wall to reunite, with some greeting the others with 'playful' violence. Roier, ElMariana, and Spreen were killed.

As the players explored the island, they began to make friends with each other and look for resources. After some time, Jaiden went into one of the abandoned buildings to look for anything good. She heard a very faint voice, saying "Good Morning", "What are you doing", "Answer the question." Panicking, she ran back to her group about what she heard. Slimecicle, Quackity, and Wilbur followed Jaiden back to the building to investigate. Cucurucho, or Osito Bimbo dubbed by Quackity, approached the group, explaining that they were from the QSMP Census Bureau, and wanted to ask some questions. Some of these questions were "What was you name?" "What was your age?" "What was your occupation?" and "Where did you work at?" The questioning was interrupted when Spreen appeared and chased Cucurucho away with fire.

Days 2-12

Now that all the players could interact with each other, they dedicated the next 12 days on making relations with one another, obtaining materials, and settling into homes.

On day 2, Jaiden was jumpscared by Cucurucho while she was mining. Trapped underground with what Jaiden referred to as a snowman, she answered Cucurucho's strange questions. Cucurucho rewarded her with a blue parrot, then left to find additional members.

A lot of light hearted banter as well as gifts were traded between the players, and the server was very laidback. However, that changed on Day 13, Adoption Day, and the start of the Egg Adoption Event.
