The Eye Soldiers, also known as the Eye Workers, are Faceless Workers who were previously creatures that operated under the jurisdiction of The Federation, but were dominated by a mysterious creature that currently commands Egg Island known as The Watcher, the same one responsible for hosting the Purgatory Events.
The first time one of these one-eyed workers was seen was on November 18, 2023, Day 240 of QSMP and the final day of the first Purgatory event, being seen in a room by the Sinners.
Physiology[]
The purgatory workers bear a resemblance to the Faceless Workers. They are blank white except for their face, hands, and feet. They have one large eye in the center of their face distinguishing them from the faceless workers. Their hands and feet are black, colored to resemble paws.
Originally they wore construction worker attire, having safety helmets, safety vests, and tool belts on. Currently, due to the fallout from the nuclear bomb in Purgatory they wear hazmat suits and gas masks but when returning to Quesadilla Island, the workers use their original attire.
Personality[]
The workers are extremely stubborn and persistent. When they demanded Philza give them Luffy, Phil explained he didn't have the Little buddy, but they ignored that fact and threatened him and his eggs as they were certain they were right. Later, they kept attacking islanders and others eggs, just to get Phil's attention and force him to give up Luffy. When other islanders try to reason and talk to them, they may temporarily pause their attacks but usually resolve to violence before long, even using dirty tactics to kill them and their eggs.
They are also very determined creatures, seen when they are attacking the islanders. Their goal seems to be killing the eggs to follow through with their threat they made to Phil and they are very focused on doing so. Once they had accomplished this task and killed Empanada, they suddenly became much less aggressive and some even put away weapons and removed their potion effects, making them much more easily killed after completing their mission.
History[]
They were first seen during the Hide and Seek event at the very end of the first Purgatory.
The workers have appeared on the island in search of a kidnapped Little Buddy named Luffy. They attacked the islanders, demanding their leader, but quickly retreated when they felt threatened, such as when they were outnumbered or when Cucurucho was summoned.
For unknown reasons, the Purgatory workers have kidnapped islanders (such as Tubbo, Pac, Mike, Bagi, BadBoyHalo and Etoiles) and people from outside the island to participate in Purgatory 2. The only information they gave about the event was "A legacy, power, everything you might need is where we will take you," and "You will receive instructions really soon. That’s the answer I can give you for now" which they gave to Tubbo.
They seemed to be working hard investigating and putting everything together for Purgatory 2 as seen by ElQuackity. They were seen completing various tasks in order to make sure the event would run as intended such as one of the workers creating the music for the event.
During the Purgatory 2 event, they found Luffy with Philza and threatened him saying "We know who your egg is. Two days. If you don't hand us the creature by then, expect consequences." When Philza questioned their motives, they retorted, "I don't think you have much ground to ask questions, sinner." In response, Philza stated, "Listen, I escaped that island. I did what I had to do to save the eggs. But if you want to take this guy away from me, after he sought help from me, and you can't ensure his safety, then what am I meant to do?". Luffy and Philza successfully fought off the workers, prompting them to temporarily retreat. This caused the workers to launch a series of Eye Soldier Attacks, often on groups of islanders and eggs in the spawn area.
On Day 292 one of the soldiers killed Empanada in an attack. This enraged her mother, Bagi, who along with the help of other islanders and federation workers killed some of them in return.
