History[]

The guests put on their best clothes, ready to celebrate and honor the special day. The main square was decorated with the colors of Mexico, featuring a large national flag at its center. The cathedral stood right in front, where they were able to visit the Altar of Forgiveness inside. Some mouthwatering delights were served! Enchiladas, Tamales, Chimichangas, Tres Leche Cake, Fajitas and Tacos, all perfectly complemented by refreshing Horchatas, Beer, Wine, and even Tequila.

After briefly explaining the historical context, Roier and Missa invited all to join in the 'Grito de la Independencia,' where everyone shouted hoorays in unison to celebrate. The colors of the Mexican flag lit up the sky in the form of fireworks, a beautiful display to be enjoyed! The lasso activity was certainly fun, and even offered to some an amazing view of the event from the heights by courtesy of the local flying dog, Firusflais.

Iconic in more ways than the adored candy raining down on the crowd, the piñata seemed to really fit the mood. Missa successfully taught how to dance 'El Payaso del Rodeo' – or at least came close! And with the famous 'La Chona' dance, no one could resist, not even Cucurucho.

Celebrating together and proudly honoring such a special event, unforgettable memories were certainly made at the end of this special day. ¡VIVA MÉXICO!
