Morro do Xerê is a Favela made by the Brazilian Islanders Pac, Mike, Felps, Cellbit formerly Forever and also Richarlyson and Quackity.
The Favela is located next to Copacabana and formerly close to Quackity's House, now being La Vecindad.
History[]
Morro do Xerê is a Favela, a type of shanty town in Brazil, most often within urban areas. It was created to represent Brazil, the country of origin of Pac, Mike, Cellbit, Felps and Forever. Its concept was imagined by Forever, and then he convinced the other residents of the Morro do Xerê to live there. They choose this location so they could be closer to Quackity's House.
Quackity, Roier and Bobby started building a replica of Christ the Redeemer (Cristo Redentor in Portuguese) as a form to welcome the new members to the Island.
In day 43, the event Projeto Imortalyson - Esse Ovo Não Morre Mais (Project Imortalyson - This Egg Won't Die Anymore), Cellbit and Felps constructed an arena to train Richarlyson after his death. The arena consists in a soccer camp and a stone parkour built by Cellbit. There is also a typical Brazilian pub bar next to the Project Imortalyson training arena, named Buteco do Boi Gordo (Fat Bull's Pub Bar), which was built by the TazerCraft duo (Pac and Mike).
During The Elections, as a part of the presidential campaign of the brazilian creators, they decided to change the Favela and create alot of new constructions.
Geography and Structures[]
The hill that Morro do Xerê sits in is considerably small and is in a savanna. Originally, it included four houses, those being the "shared house" (house of Pac, Mike, Forever and Richarlyson), "Felps's house", "Cellbit's House" and "Quackity's House", the first three being made out of terracotta, oak planks and cobblestone, while Quackity's resembles a country house, constituted of oak planks and logs.
Cellbit was running a secret office underneath his house, using it to investigate the island's mysteries and to organize meetings with the Ordo Theoritas. However, since his house was destroyed after the elections, it's not located there anymore.
In the "shared house" there is Richarlyson's secret room, where he used to sleep and where he keeps his memories and important things. The room has a password security and is hidden by a painting. He left his room for his current one in N.I.N.H.O, where he is currently sleeping.
Quackity built a replica of the 'Vila do Chaves' (Village of El Chavo del Ocho) next to Morro do Xerê, which is a popular TV show for Spanish and Portuguese speaking Latinos.
There is a cobblestone structure without a roof, which has two double chests, a farm of wheat as seen in the image and a recess in the hill with walls made of stone, that contains some chests.
After the elections, the brazilians have started a project to make some changes in the Favela. They wanted the Favela to become a safe and central zone in the server where everyone can meet and chat, with alot of public spaces so people can feel safe there. They planned on putting multiple teleport points around the island to the Favela and public farms avaliable for all players. Forever added a bunch of bus stops with teleports to the Favela and several small houses next to the Christ the Redeemer. They have removed/changed the previous player houses and had started to make new paths to other points in the Favela.
Christ the Redeemer[]
The original Christ the Redeemer is an art deco statue that portrays Jesus Christ, located at the top of Corcovado Mountain overlooking a considerable part of the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. The statue was redone on QSMP by Quackity and Roier, which was later finalized by the Brazilians and other members.
During the Festa Junina, Christ was themed with the theme and a straw hat was placed on his head. During The QSMP Elections, Pac and Mike removed the hat and upgraded the Christ's head, making it more like the real face.
After just over a month, on day 142, TazerCraft decides to rotate the Christ, as Pac had thought that it should be "embracing the sea, the city, and the sunrise" and not just facing in a random direction.
The Football Pitch[]
Intitially the field was created during the "Project Imortalyson" during the first day of the brazilians in the server. During day 43, Cellbit devised a training routine, in which all of Richarlyson's parents (including Quackity) would teach important survival skills to him, aiming to strengthen the egg and make him "immortal". To make this project possible, the brazilians have created a typical football pitch with grass as the playing surface, with the typical goal areas and the penalty marks. Richarlyson casually plays soccer with his parents in the pitch using a tortoise in the place of a ball. Originally, it had a small stand with wooden chairs where the members could sit and watch the field, but it was later removed. It has a typical brazilian bar next to it, named "Buteco do Boi Gordo", which was created by Pac and Mike.
The football pitch was the central location of the Festa Junina. Pac, Mike and Felps have built several tents with mini-games so the players could enjoy their time in the festival. It also featured a bonfire in the middle, hanging flags, light balloons, a trampoline, and even a mechanical bull created using the create mod. They also built the Church of St. Felps right next to it and a huge staircase to the Christ Statue. After the festival was over, the brazilians began to remove all the previous festivies and tents in the pitch.
Buteco do Boi Gordo[]
Buteco do Boi Gordo is a stereotypical brazilian bar created by Mike, located next to the football pitch. It has a small stage and a balcony where people sell drinks. It has a snooker in the middle of the room and a big window with a nice view to the football pitch. Cellbit put a Melissa poster on the walls of the bar. It's a nice and cozy place where the brazilians usually host events and parties for everyone in the Island.
Church of St. Felps[]
The Church of St. Felps is a small church built by Felps and Richarlyson for the Festa Junina. It has several chairs, a big red carpet, a small stage, a stand with a book for prayers and a picture frame of Saint Felps in the middle of it. This place was used for fake marriages during the event, and it stayed after the festival ended.
Copacabana[]
Copacabana is a beach located at the Favela, named and inspired by the famous Copacabana Beach, which is especially recognizable for its crescent-shaped beach. Forever wanted to create the beach as gift for the French members when they first arrived at the Island, but unfortunely he couldn't finish the project in time.
The location was actually a former desert that Forever has flattened in order to create a ocean and a beach. Determined to make it a memorable occasion, Forever rallied every member of the QSMP he could find, even persuading the Federation to lend their support so he could make a huge inauguration event for one of his biggest projects.
Ramón's Barbershop[]
It's a small blue building located next to the public square in Copacabana, built by Pac and Mike. This small shop servers as a tribute to Ramon, and was created after the inauguration of Starbobby, taking several inspiration from it. The original logo was created by a fanartist on twitter, but they plan to use a new logo made by Richarlyson. On day 98, Mike used this place to make several haircuts to the Island's residents, resulting in funny moments between the members, as they all changed their skins according to Mike's talent as an hairdresser.
On day 106, The TazerCraft duo have decided to expand the business and create another barbershop, which is alot bigger compared to the previous one. This new barbershop is located at the Shopping Center and has some new features and services that the previous one didn't have, like a plastic surgery clinic and a room for waxing hair. The building also has a small garden with a view for the Copacabana beach. Despite constructing a new barbershop , the old building was not destroyed and is still in the favela for remembrance.
Train Station[]
The first train station connected to Chume Labs was created by Pac and Mike and it's located in the Favela. The location is behind the Christ the Redeemer and next to Richa's Shopping center. The train station is connected to Cellbit's Castle and Forever's Mega Base. It has a nice view to the Copacabana beach.
Favela Shopping Center[]
Pac and Mike have created a "shopping center" with public workbenches for everyone at the Favela. Originally, it was going to be a fair for Chayanne, but they decided to rename the place and create another fair for him, building some new food stalls right next to it instead. The creation of this place was part of Mike's candidacy plan during the elections.
There is a flower tent, a glass tent, a carpenter tent, a tent with a loomer's workbench and a tent with a stonecutter's workbench. It has a official logo, which was made by Richarlyson himself. The logo has a ice cream, a drink, and books referencing Cellbit's elements from his RPG series. It has a waypoint in the entrance and a train station right next to it.
StarBobby[]
StarBobby is a coffee shop made by Cellbit and Richarlyson. The name of the coffee shop was made in honor of Bobby after he passed away some time ago. The first StarBobby Cafeteria was made in Copacabana, and the logo was made by Richarlyson himself, with him and Bobby in front of a star holding coffee and chocolate milk.
Tallulah's Music Store[]
Tallulah's Music Store was a store created by Forever after he started creating some apartment buildings in the front of the Copacabana Beach and the houses of the Favela. This building contained a service area and an elevator that lead to the second floor. On the second floor, there was a karaoke area where players go to sing together. There was also a rooftop with several chairs and tables and a view of the beach. Just like StarBobby, the logo was a creation of Richarlyson.
Chayanne's Food Fair[]
"Feirinha do Chayanne" is a food fair located next to the Shopping Center built by Richarlyson. It has a teleport to Forever's old enchantment room, and a logo with Chayanne in the entrance.
The fair contains a milk stand with a cow named "Milky" that Richarlyson picked, a avocado toast stand and a tent with vegetables with a mini farm on the side. Next to it there is a statue of Forever with his pet dog that BadBoyHalo built after he won the elections.
Capybara Village[]
The Capybara Village is a set of houses built by the Capybaras during a contest set by Baghera. After the contest, Baghera officially named it the Capybara Village. It has Abuelito's, Senhora Neide's, Pozolito's and Elisangela's houses.
Knowing this place was very special to Richarlyson, since he adored the capybaras, Pac decided to honor him and reform the village, adding a letter that sits on a shelf in the middle of the village, along with the sofas that symbolize TazerCraft. The logo of the village sits on top of a capybara monument that BadBoyHalo created near the Egg Daycare.
Crow's Temple[]
The Crow temple was a area of the Favelas built by Mike and Richarlyson as a homage to Team Crow after Mike's return from Purgatory 2. Atop of the mountain there's a large statue of a crow holding a bamboo stick. The bamboo that surrounds the temple symbolizes the victory that lead Team Crow's to the finals while the Orange tree's are a throwback to the Orange contract that saved the team on Day 2.
In the upper floor there's 6 gravestones for each of the members of the team, each with their name and a title/quote associated with them.
- Goularte, "Ladrão de TV" ("TV Thief")
- Gabe, "A taça é nossa" ("The trophy is ours")
- Aldo, "El Mejor" ("The Best")
- Wuant, "Jesus Superstar"
- Seapeekay, "The Leader"
- Mike, "ENFIA O BAMBU NO SEU C" ("SHOVE THE BAMBOO UP YOUR AS-")
On the altar, there is a book written in Portuguese by Mike named "The Crow".
Below the waterfall and under the altar there's a secret room that holds art of the team made by the community.
Trivia[]
- The name of this location comes from the Portuguese word "morro", which means hill, and the word Xerê, which was created by the TazerCraft duo several years ago in one of their series. That is, it would mean something like Hill of Xerê.
