History[]

February 3, 2024 - Restarting Isla Quesadilla[]

The Islanders appeared at the QSMP Lobby, catching up until the sky turned black, leaving them in darkness. Subsequently, they found themselves teleported to a library with a large screen counting down from fifteen minutes. As they explored the library, each of them discovered a book title that was related to them with their name on it. Once the countdown was over a cutscene unfolded—a book bearing The Federation Logo appeared and opened.

Whimsical music played as a narrator began, "Not too long ago, Isla Quesadilla was discovered by the Federation... It was deemed the perfect place for high-quality vacations." The pages turned, landmarks emerged, and the narrator continued, "Mr. Duck, the boss, decided to invite many new friends to enjoy it. The island's beauty captivated its visitors, who wished to live there forever." The page flipped to The Adoption Center with images of eggs flashing, and the narrator went on, "One day, many little eggs were found on the island, quickly picked up by the islanders, and life was good." The page turned to two individuals, and the narrator sadly stated, "But the islanders weren't satisfied with paradise... They broke rules and ventured where they shouldn't! Unfortunately, one of those places—" The narrator paused dramatically as the page revealed a large red button, and he continued, "had a big, red button." The page flipped, showing the two people with a red button amidst iron bars, and the narrator said, "They pushed the button without even thinking for a second if they should!" The page turned, revealing destroyed landmarks, and the narrator continued, "The island began tearing itself apart, collapsing before The Federation's eyes." As the page flipped once more, revealing four dark figures with a sign reading "Board of Directors," the narrator continued, "It was then that the board of directors of all the islands were forced to make a difficult and heartbreaking decision." The page flipped again, displaying a person in front of a screen. The narrator continued, "Isla Quesadilla had to be..." Suddenly, the narrator's voice glitched as he said "restarted," and the cutscene glitched. The page turned, showing a person with a question mark, and the narrator went on, "The board of directors must now appoint someone to run the island. Someone trustworthy, someone who can keep the island safe and peaceful—so that it will never get destroyed again. So that everyone can be happy until we are all dust and nothing more." The screen faded to black, turning to static and black once more. It gradually revealed a figure walking, appearing to wear a duck head. They sat at a table, removed their duck head as eyes peered at them in the dark. Cucurucho appeared carrying a briefcase, placing it on the table in front of the person. Suddenly, alarms went off, red emergency lights flashed, and a screen came down in front of the table. A figure appeared on the screen, and Cucurucho opened the briefcase to reveal a bar of gold and a cookie. The person picked one, and the figure on the screen nodded before the screen turned black. The eyes continued to stare at the person until they all disappeared except one. The person walked to a yellow button labeled "QSMP 2024" as a bunny jumped over near it. The person pressed the button, and the cutscene turned black.[3]

A button, similar of the one in the earlier cutscene, appeared, and they pressed it, revealing a hidden door. Stepping through the door, they found themselves in a train station. Climbing aboard, the train started moving, bringing them to another station where a short cutscene revealed a seemingly new location. Entering a building, they explored before another cutscene unfolded. The cutscene showcased the new building, and a bunny named Mr. Bunny appeared, introduced as the one to run the island, ensuring peace and order. While the narrator didn't delve into details, assurance was given that the islanders would get to know Mr. Bunny in the future. The narrator emphasized the crucial changes Mr. Bunny's arrival represented for Quesadilla Island. There would be new landscapes and zones for exploration, along with items to craft and discover. The focus then shifted back to the building and Mr. Bunny, introducing a currency system. Examples were showcased, and the narrator explained a real estate system where residents could explore available properties for opening shops. Purchasing real estate would allow them to decide what items to sell and build a store, with the federation providing custom items, pricing options, and client negotiation. The narrator elaborated on various ways to earn money, including in-game activities like defeating mobs or participating in the bounty system rewarding residents for completing specific tasks. The Federation's stores, located at spawn, were mentioned, each offering unique and exclusive items. The narrator joyously announced an exclusive and dynamic event, the collective money spent bar, visually representing residents' combined spending. Reaching spending goals would unlock special events, with the first being the Nether. Mr. Bunny reappeared as the narrator expressed wishes for an amazing stay on the island, promising that residents would always be happy and never want to leave. Then the cutscene concluded as it turned black.[4]

The islanders spent the rest of the day exploring the island, gradually adapting to their new lives. Building settlements and collecting resources marked the beginning of a promising new era for them.

QSMP Governing System[]

The following system was put in place by Mr. Bunny, the island's manager.[4]

Privatization[]

Since Mr. Bunny assumed management, there's been a noticeable move towards privatization. This shift has resulted in the introduction of user fees or charges for services that were once freely provided. The Federation has began charging for once-free services, like a 5-coin fee for Warpstone travel.
