Hide and Seek ("Esconde-Esconde" in Portuguese) was a mini-event announced and held on June 24th, 2023 (Day 95) at 2:00 p.m. PT in The Hide and Seek Arena on Chume Labs. The event was made and hosted by Pac and Mike on the TazerCraft duo's Twitch channel.

About

Pac and Mike had long planned to bring their classic Hide 'n' Seek game, which they have been originally making it since 2016 on their YouTube channel TazerCraft, to QSMP, allowing all the residents of Quesadilla Island to play. The game's original rules were modified to prevent any deaths among Players or Eggs, given the limited lives of the Eggs and especially the lives of the contestants participating in the QSMP Elections, the biggest topic at the moment.

History

The Hide and Seek Origin

Pac and Mike's channel was originally a Minecraft channel that hosted Minecraft mini-events between YouTuber friends, Cellbit being the only one that is in the QSMP right now. There were lots of maps that they played in during the old times, including Cellbit's room, a generic school and more. (There are actually 100+ hide and seek videos)

The huge amount of videos that were created by the Tazercraft duo originated lots of memes and remarkable moments, which will be listed in the trivia section of this page, (at least the major ones).

Due to the maps they used to play being pretty open usually, the places they used to hide were inside figures of the scenario they were playing in, just like they did in the hide and seek event in the QSMP.

The gameplay mechanics of the old Hide and Seek events hosted by Pac and Mike in their channel were pretty straight forward and similar to the ones used in the QSMP event, but with (usually) no mods at all. The seekers needed to find the hiders who were spread around the map in a certain amount of time, typically in 10 minutes. Close to the end of the timer, the hiders had to launch fireworks to the sky to make the seekers find them easier (mainly because if the hiders hid somewhere really hard to find it would probably ruin the content and fun of the other players).

Event Day - Day 95

Before the event started, everyone met at the Copacabana square, waiting for all the guests. After that, they teleported to Chume Labs, base of Pac and Mike, following a wooden bridge, while visualizing the renovation that the base had. Following the bridge, they arrived at a movie theater where they could watch a short film showing how to play the game and the rules that must be followed.

After watching the video, players went to the Train that would take them to the Hide and Seek Map. After arriving, they are faced with the game's Lobby that has things to prepare for the game. There's Teobaldo's shop, the web hole for the Seeker to jump through, and the door to enter the map.

Trivia

• The phrase "Faz seu jogo" (Do your game), said by Cellbit many times during the event was a reference to one of Mike's speeches in one of the hide and seek videos, where he said that to Cellbit - This, later, became a meme because Cellbit actually made a game.
• The reason behind Cellbit really fearing being the hunter is because him and the Tazercraft duo had an internal meme because Cellbit would always be the hunter (It was randomized and somehow 99% of the times that the hunter was chosen it was him)
• Before the event, Richarlyson adopted one of the Capybaras, Senhora Neide.
