The Rebellion is an old secret Organization within the Quesadilla Island. Not much is yet known about this organization.
Thanks to an old letter found by Pac and Fit on Day 202, it was possible to identify 3 of the members of this organization by their code names, these being "Worker", Fisher and "Hunter".
On Day 205, the Mysterious Agent guided Etoiles into V. Crabro. There he found a room containing a group of chests labeled with the names of other islanders who were yet to be approached to join The Rebellion. In the 4th level of this building he found a bunch of reports on other islanders, their status and alignments on the island.
Goals and Purpose[]
To End The Federation[]
- For still mysterious reasons, The Rebellion opposes the federation and wishes to end it, which is also a common goal to the Ordo Theoritas. To do this, they recruit trustworthy island residents who share their interests and have the same goal as them through encrypted texts. They also provide tools that can be used against the Federation to individuals who pique their interest, such as Etoiles' code sword and SOFIA, which became a crucial element used to unravel the mysteries of the island, given to Maximus.
- The Rebellion, as dicovered by Etoiles, work together with the codes to end the federation. Some of those codes were taken by the Federation and the Federation attempted to rewire them, causing them to become unstable and harm the eggs. As such, The Rebellion apologized for the code's behavior.
Anonymity[]
- The Rebellion values anonymity and secrecy. They contact the island residents anonymously, leaving encrypted messages and puzzles for them to follow to their main base. Since they use many encrypted codes, there are several books with instructions on how to decipher them at the V. Crabro library. This is done to prevent the federation from discovering them and to safeguard against potential traitors, as they are highly loyal to one another, according to the instructions Fit received when he was first contacted.
- Signs and names in V. Crabro are only to be displayed for new recruits or individuals expected to join their operations. Once the recruit becomes fully operational, the sign must be removed to maintain anonymity. This rule applies to all, both new island inhabitants and long-time residents.
- All reports must stay within their building, and no writing is permitted to leave their perimeter. All outside reports and writings have to be encrypted, and suspicious activity is to be reported within a day of observation. All electronic devices are to be shut down and taken off the grid when the work place is left.
Recruit more Members[]
- The Rebellion aims to recruit island residents for their operations. They have been studying the islanders for months, being responsible for carrying out small missions to help them remember their pasts (as seen with Bagi, since they were helping her recover her memories), or reaching out to them through other means (The rebel are possibly also using Codeflippa as a tool to contact Slimecicle).
History[]
Upon entering the building, Etoiles found the lobby adorned with numerous boxes. The first floor, to his surprise, resembled a well-stocked bunker farm, replete with an abundance of food, grains, and apples. The second floor appeared to be a hub for contemplation, meetings, and research activities. However, it was the third floor, the very one he had been instructed to investigate, that piqued his interest. This expansive room housed a multitude of chests, each bearing the names of various island residents, alongside a collection of books.
Etoiles perused the volume with his own name, then stumbled upon another book, an apology from the organization for the prior misbehavior of the codes, which had led to an attack on Etoiles' friends. It acknowledged issues within the codes. He subsequently uncovered an enthralling room filled with an array of intriguing books about the island's inhabitants. Returning to the previous chamber, he succumbed to his curiosity and peeked into another room, only to find that most of the individuals listed on the chests had received similar messages. The names "Fit," "Bagi," and others were being considered by the organization as potential members. Further exploration revealed another chamber that resembled a dormitory, replete with numerous beds.
This mission served as a crucial test, and the utmost secrecy was paramount to ensure that the Federation didn't get hold of the mission details. The text was encrypted, but it was known that with enough time, its contents could be deciphered. Etoiles was directed to enter the cave at coordinates 4669 -733. Once inside, he would encounter two iron doors, reputed to disarm alarms and cameras for a brief five minutes. Access codes for these doors had been supplied by a trustworthy source: Door 01: 753002 and Door 02: 187874.
Within this narrow time frame, Etoiles had to traverse the main corridor and use the access code 87269 to unlock a safe. The message within this corridor was clear: "Escape or fight." Teleportation within the building was deemed impossible, placing the onus on Etoiles' combat skills to retrieve and secure two essential reports. These reports were to be delivered to his contact at V. Crabro.
Etoiles bravely infiltrated the Federation's office, engaging in a fierce confrontation with the guards. He acquired the crucial documents and successfully made his escape. During the mission, he encountered a formidable guard, one who stood out for his strength. Etoiles had strategically enhanced his firearms with mending capabilities, allowing him to wield one in each hand. The two books he obtained held a sequence of numbers on ten pages each. Although Etoiles wasn't supposed to translate them, he stowed them away in the designated chest as instructed.
The book also informed that their pathfinder was only able to have a brief overview of the place and saw black concrete which seems to not be a part of the basic place. It could be that the code left some before disappearing. The pathfinder placed a warp plate leading to the place next to the waystone outside the bunker. Etoiles is advised to report any discoveries he makes. The second book that Etoiles found is from someone who saw him sleeping. The book teaches him how to read books of high security. It instructs to follow the library, second row and in the far left take the elevator, with the password 78775.
He followed the instructions written on the book & quill and went in the library. There was an elevator that led him to a small room with a protected chest The 2 book & quills were the coded books from The Resistant that he took back from The Federation in his first mission. The signed book & quills from the protected chest were pieces of information to help Etoiles decode the books he got last time. After some time trying to decode them, he succeeded.
The first encrypted book detailed how they have reached out for their informant (Walter Bob) and that the nether is indeed where the president is currently, as he was sent there to investigate the eggs, which seem to be tied to a mission from the federation. It will be interesting to see if he returns, and that he may be able to escape despite his bonds on the island being strong. The book states that most ways have been cut off with their informant and that they are waiting for his report. It also informs that the "faulty" egg approached several residents after the protocol activation, and that Slimecicle has been getting closer with it. While they wait for the report, they should send someone to see if the protocol can be replicated. They need to get the team ready. If Etoiles ever needs to form a team, he will choose Cellbit, Badboyhalo and Philza to be part of it. Even though he's close to Aypierre, he feels that there is something more to him that he doesn't know yet.
The second is from the informant: it details how an order has been given out regarding an activated protocol. Apparently, the federation is unprepared for it and that the residents are agitated and the tensions are growing. Workers have been threatened; one has apparently been kidnapped, which has also gone under their radar. They may have to check with an informant in the future. While the summer has shown that the island does create good memories, the disappearance of the eggs has unleashed a series of disobedient acts and retaliations. Lately, the Federation has been losing control. They are trying to regain it with some success as residents have begun giving up on their search for the youth. The most important information that the information have been able to acquire is that the Nether has been opened by the Federation.
Once he read the content of the books, Etoiles left V. Crabro and went to the waystone outside the bunker to take the warp plate that led to where is 2nd mission is going to take place, and Etoiles logged off for the day.
Upon arriving there, they had indeed made contact. In one of the barrels, Fit found two books and a broom. Both books were written in ciphers, and by decoding them, Fit received the message that there is a radio tower that has been abandoned by the federation for over a year. Recently, it has been completely removed from the map and considered lost. Even if it's only a short-term solution, it could help them greatly. If he accepts their task, they would be very grateful, but they also understand if he refuses.
The details are in the second book. They will know if the radio tower is active when everything is up and running; Fit should return here, and he will find further instructions. The book also notes that only the dangerously growing white spider webs, not the gray ones, should be dealt with. The Sharestone at the back of the room will transport him to a federation radio tower. The radio station is infested with spiders. Before any work can be done, it is necessary to clean the area completely to ensure no nests are rebuilt. The electricity is completely destroyed and needs to be reconnected. Even if the signal is outdated, it might support us in a week, in a future task. As soon as the construction is up and running again, leave and return.
Fit and his beloved broom set out in search of the abandoned radio station. He performed various tasks, killed spiders, and cleared away the webs. But the interesting part is yet to come. Inside this base, Fit initially found an image that seemed to be a redstone wiring project, and two books, one talking about a worker inviting another for a date, and another book reporting the spider infestation that had forced the workers to evacuate. After creating many redstone repeaters, opening the power station's door of the tower, discovering an abundance of resources inside the room, he finally managed to reconnect the radio tower. After considering his work complete, he returned to the hunter's house. There, he found a book with coordinates and an item to place on the warp plate. When he arrived at the specified location, he discovered that he had been recruited by The Resistants.
Arriving at the coordinates Pac found a run down house with a Waystone called 'Farmers Ruin'. Within the house was a trapdoor and an enigma to recieve the code. Pac took pictures of everything before beginning. Once Pac figured out the code he opened the trapdoor and grabbed the contents from inside. An old note and a warp shard. The note congratulated him on finding this place and told him to use the warp shard in a 'base of communication of ours' and that he should know where that is (the second set of coords). Due to confusing wording Pac didn't realize he could use the warp shard to get to the communication base, instead thinking he had to use it once he got there, walked 9760 blocks to the Rebellion HQ.
Once Pac arrived he began to look around and explore the base. He looked in the chest of the other members and discovered that Fit was apart of the Rebellion. He eventually got to his own chest and enthusiastically accepted the invite.
"It has been a long time. We would like your assistance. Go to (coords) The kitchen holds a secret. For your convenience: we have a share stone at (more coords) that will take you to a closer spot. Further instructions will follow"
Bagi took the share stone and traveled to the coords. They led to the 'Hunter's House' that Pac and Fit had found earlier. Bagi found books in the kitchen cabinets and located the door to the basement. Using the books found in the kitchen, Bagi discovered the code to the door and entered the basement. Inside of another black chest was Bagi's Invitation Mission:

There was absolutely no way Bagi was going to deny this so she took the sharestone. Traveling to the coordinates Bagi arrived at an underground lab entrance the walls containing copper piping (in the meta this was the same lab that Etoiles raided a few days prior.) Upon entering the lab Bagi saw that it was COVERED in black concrete and code matter. She sneaked around the lab and found a lot of information.
In the room that was once full of animal subjects, she found nothing but notes that had been left behind and a check list with only one thing on it: ✓ Terminate the Subjects . She found notes on the code, a note written in French, binary writing on several of the labs chalkboards, notes telling the scientists to have entities either transported or or terminated. a room that contained a patch of grass and a painting easel. Notes in this last room talked about a 'one eyed creature' that had been already relocated. One book she found was a report that is transcribed here. Along with her notes (i'll put the original Portuguese notes and the google translated English notes down, so if someone wants to translate them better be my guest)

Having collected a lot of information Bagi left the lab and returned to her (real) home. There she made copies of the photo's she took and organized her evidence bag before returning to hunter's house. There she returned to the basement and found a new book and a warp shard. The book had coordinates, a string of numbers, and 'LVL3'. Using the warp shard Bagi traveled to V. Crabro. She found her chest and read her book, and quickly acquainted herself with the base. Bagi was the only one to not go through everyone else's chest upon arrival but read every other book she could get her hands on. Bagi left the backpack of evidence and some books of her own asking some questions to the Rebellion, and her thoughts on Kameto in her chest and left for the day.

Both Fit and Pac suggested that Etoiles should be the leader, but if he wasn't available Fit would be happy to be the leader. The two left signs around Etoiles chest telling him, and left for the day. Bagi visited the Rebellion later in the day and left a sign saying the same as the other two.

The three decoded the matrix and headed off to the coordinates. Once there they found a site of an exploded code. The remnants were filled with blazes and other mobs, the group ran in to defeat them. Bagi took pictures and while fighting mobs Etoiles discovered hallway like rooms with in the black matter. The two hallways one containing an image saying X with four blanks below it, with a row row of eight redstone lamps on the wall (All of these lamps were off but the right most one), and Z with eight blanks below it and row of eight redstone lamps on the side of the wall (All off but the last three).
Etoiles, figuring the lamps to represent binary belived that the X room lamps meant '00000001' and the Z room lamps meant '00000111'. The binary translating into 1 and 7 respectively. Believing that they have all of the information the group heads back to base. Etoiles wrote up the report and the three left the base.
Their current thought is that there will be other dungeons with other parts of the coordinates. So far they have: 'X'- 1___ and 'Z'- 7___.

The two decided to take in on to make up for missing the chance to do the last mission together. Fit would lead the mission in Etoiles absence with Pac to help and make sure he wasn't alone. After some difficultly, they deciphered the coordinates and made their way to the new structure. This structure was far more open than the previous one and similarly swarmed with mobs. The two defeated and destroyed the spawners before making their way to the center to figure out the next digit of the coordinates.
While looking around Pac noticed a small green blade on the ground that appeared to be broken. It was the second half of Etoiles sword. Fit picked it up and put it away.
Confused at first on how to get the numbers, Fit took a second look at the missions book and noticed the last page "Please keep your perspective in mind". He began to look around when he saw a number in the black concrete while standing on the block containing the letter.

The pair made their way back to base. Fit wrote up the report and Pac compiled all of the photos taken. For a final touch they placed an item frame on the wall near Etoiles chest with the broken blade inside with a sign above it saying "Happy Holidays Etoiles! From Pac&Fit"

This said, the new location may not hold everything upin the air or hidden within.
While looking for the location of the Federation offices using old coordinates on day 292 Phil, Fit, and Ramon stumbled across the location of the next dark matter structure. Fit managed to convince Phil to not bring it up to the others, but bring it up with Etoiles the next time he saw him.
On day 294 Bagi and Fit decided to finally take careof the next mission. Leaving Em in Ramon's care, the two set out and cleared the area very quickly. They located the next two numbers in the water:

Fit had to log off shortly and left Bagi to do the report, but not before they blew up the location of the X and Z signs, so that if Phil did come back he wouldn't be able to fingure anything out.
Which was a good thing. Later that day Phil met up with Etoiles and showed him the structure, confused as to why it was no longer covered in spawners. Etoiles unaware that his team had cleared it out just a few hours prior, was also a bit confused. He ultimately told Phil not to worry and that he knew what to do with it.

The Resistants seems to have been observing the island's residents for quite some time, gathering information about them and their alignment with the Federation so that they can be studied and invited to join the organization.
The Resistants is quite secretive and operates differently from the federation. Signs and names are only revealed to new recruits or individuals anticipated to participate in their operations. After a recruit becomes fully integrated, the signage is to be removed to ensure anonymity. Those reports must remain confined within their premises.
These books were updated after Purgatory showing either their return date, or if they were still missing.

Since this organization has many unsolved mysteries for a long time, there are certain theories that could be right or wrong.
- It is possible that "Hunter" is the Mysterious Agent who gave Maximus the instructions to build SOFIA and who appeared in front of V. Crabro to Etoiles.
- It is possible that this "Worker" is the Officer who took Cellbit to a secret room on Day 205 and gave him information so that he could invade the Federation to steal the A0 Project. This is no longer as likely as the Rebellion was concerned about Cellbit killing their own despite killing at this worker's direction.
- Cellbit probably got contacted by the organization during Interesting Performance, but his work got stolen by The Federation.
Trivia[]
- The Rebellion recognizes that workers do their job and are not aware why they do it nor if they have a choice to do it. Some of the workers within the federation are their allies, and some of the members of The Résistance used to be like them.
- As such, the Rebellion are worried about the killing of the workers, as a potential killer on the run could put the Résistance in danger as well as bringing the Federation's attention to potential recruits, preventing the resistants from contacting them.
- The Rebellion uses black chests to communicate.
- The Rebellion has been called the Rebellion behind the scenes since before its lore was seen by any viewer, despite Etoiles' best efforts to push for calling them the Resistance.
